We are the only clinic across the West Midlands to provide care for exotic patients from a Specialist accredited across all exotic species, and the only exotics clinic across the Midlands to offer round the clock care for patients from experienced exotic animal vets and nurses.
We are happy to accept referrals for all exotic species, including rabbits, rodents, birds, snakes, tortoises, lizards, primates, fish, invertebrates and zoo species.
We can also provide advice on case management in first opinion practice and are always happy to chat through cases with vets. The advice request form can be submitted via the website and we can email or call to provide support.
Due to limitations on cases we can accommodate, we do not provide first opinion veterinary services directly to clients and all cases are seen by veterinary referral only.
In accordance with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Code of Professional conduct, unfortunately we are not able to offer advice to owners for patients not under the care of our clinic.
Our purpose built zoo and exotic animal referral clinic opened in October 2024, offering a service for veterinary surgeons to seek expert assessment and care of complex cases, and to provide advice to veterinary surgeons working in practice seeing exotic patients.
Our clinic includes DR radiography, ultrasound, rigid endoscopy, an in house laboratory and a surgical theatre.
An expansion in 2025 added two large wards for housing mammals, and birds and reptiles.
Further work is scheduled for Autumn 2026 to increase wards and to create space to add a CT scanner to our facilities.
We’re refurbishing a farm and currently have pigs, sheep, turkeys and chickens with cattle coming back to the farm in late 2026!
